24 Feb Google Maps + Hills
Just an observation that Google maps accounts for hills when estimating walk time. Which is a thoughtful feature. I realized this when reversing the directions from my apartment in Paris to a nearby grocery store, and noticing that the estimated walk time went from 4 minutes (going downhill) to 5 minutes (the uphill return). Good job by you, Google.
On a related (to Google Maps) note…did anyone else spend 15 seconds trying to find Google Maps on their iPhone when they changed their logo on February 6th? And can you believe it is 15 years old??
