09 Jun Francais ?? <-> ?? English
Since early this year my partner and I have kept a list where we add a new French word that we learn each day, along with its English translation. Most of my entries come from reading news articles. Which means that a significant proportion of the words have something to do with COVID-19 (e.g. from March 21: tests nasopharyngés par écouvillon = nasopharyngeal swab tests). Reader comments are especially rich ground for finding slang and colloquialisms.
In order to make remembering the words a bit more fun I made a quick javascript webpage, using p5.js, where you can quiz yourself on those words (i.e. where I quiz myself on those words). You can try it out yourself at this link.
