In this time where everyone is coming out with their own bespoke model of the Covid-19 epidemic there has been a bit of pushback. My favorite so far was the tweet by Russ Poldrack where he said something along the lines of “The problem with the Box quote is that it makes everyone feel like their model is useful” (I can no longer find the post).
With that in mind I then googled Covid model and saw these entries in position 2-5:
The quote that Poldrack was referring to is credited to George E. P. Box, and goes: “All models are wrong, but some are useful.”
